From the IVV archives it appears that this was the first vase ever made by the Tuscan glass factory, in 1952, the year of its birth. The occasion came when, the newborn IVV, was called to participate in an exhibition of objects made of mouth blown glass, held in Capalbio, precisely in 1952 and attended by Italian and international glassworks. IVV presented this vase in two dimensions and, after this appearance, did not deliberately put it into production, to emphasize the iconicity of the first piece. The 70th anniversary of glassmaking is the best time to present it and tell its story. The original colors have been reproduced as faithfully as possible, according to the indications found in the archive clipboard and recovering the processing techniques of the time to obtain the two different effects of red, gloss in the large and opaque in the small.
